International Surf Travel - Insurance Plans
Preparing for a holiday is an exciting time, but there are many things to consider when travelling overseas: including passport, tickets, money, medical, hospital, emergency and repatriation, accommodation, rental vehicle excess, luggage and sporting equipment.
The QBE International Travel Plans may be purchased up to 24 months in advance, to cover your early surf camp or boat charter deposits.
Available for single trips worldwide with unlimited cover for pre-paid travel arrangements. Cancellation or holiday deferment costs due to severe weather, natural disaster, riot, strike or civil insurrection, illness or injury before or during your surfing holiday.

Cruising Cover: You must select this option otherwise the will be no cover under this policy for the period of the trip that you are cruising.
This option is available FREE of charge to travellers under 60 years, who are deep water cruising worldwide, for more than 4 days.
Specified Items: To cover items worth more than the item limit of $700. Cover up to $6,000 per item, maximum total for all items $15,000
Additional Rental Vehicle Insurance Excess: Cover can be increased to $5,000. Additional $20 per $500 units of cover
Excess: Consider the $NIL excess option to cover your surfboards (less depreciation) otherwise you will have to pay $200 for each claim made.

The International premium amount payable is PER ADULT. A maximum of 2 adults can be named on a Certificate of Insurance. Please include the dates for departure from your residence and return to your residence when calculating your duration.
Dependant grommets under 25 years of age travel with their families at no extra cost on the International travel plans.
Existing Medical Conditions 'EMC'
If you are applying for an International Travel Plan you must tell QBE if you or anyone in your travelling party has an existing medical condition (EMC) other than those automatically covered. Available online when quoting. If your application is approved you will be advised of any restrictions or excess that may apply and asked to pay an additional premium.
Existing Medical Conditions of a Non Travelling Relative or Business Partner
Provided they are under 80 years of age you may apply to cover an EMC of a relative or business partner if their state of health could disrupt your travel plans even though they are not travelling with you. Available online when quoting. If cover is approved you will be advised of any additional premium or any special terms imposed.

Cooling off Period ... If, having purchased the policy, you want to return it, you can do so within 21 days of receiving the Certificate of Insurance and obtain a full refund, provided no claim has been made and your trip has not commenced. The Cooling Off Period does not apply to policy or trip extensions.
